Good evening
Following on from the cloning of the test server last weekend and the upgrade work performed on the test server, it is now time to perform the same upgrade on the live server. At this stage, we are planning around an upgrade window between 0400 and 0700 on Sunday morning and during that time the server will be unavailable. Like most things of this nature, there is always an element of potential for things to not go as planned and there are quite a few steps in the process that have to be performed in order for the customisations and other non core software (such as the gallery, tech portal etc.) to be successfully migrated but the test enabled us to iron out most of the busg with the help of an enthusiastic team of members who have been perofrming that testing. There are a couple of unresolved issues currently but they are not critical to the forum operaiton and thus the upgrade can be performed. The basic look and feel will remain the same as we are migrating our existing stylesheets as part of the upgrade however, there are a number of new features that come with the upgrade - not all of which will be activated initially. Cheers Russ
