Default Smartlock

hey guys,

was driving home the other night is the pouring rain and my car switched off, so i started it again and then the smartlock light kept on flashing flat out, at the moment the light is still flashing flat out, ive reset the computer and still it doesnt work.

My car has never had this problem, i thought it was the battery terminal which is a little loose but my car was just dying every 200-300 metres,
Currently the car is driving normal! but cant get rid of the smartlock light?

Anyone know how to fix this or whats happened?

well the smartlock system allows you to use an incorrect key for about 200-300 metres before it cuts the engine out, as stated in the manual. but i'm assuming u've got the correct key. And as you said it now drives fine, so im guessing the recognition software/hardware for your smartlock is damaged somehow.

yer well the car seems to go fine, im wondering if water has gotten in somewhere? i' replace the battery terminal this week but i know that wont fix the problem. i also uploaded a different flash tune that didnt change anything either.

actually come to think of it, back in august at the snowy mountains she was parked for three days without starting.when i went to unlock her the remote wouldnt work.unlocked it with the key and she started but with the smartlock constantly flashing and the remote not working .until i took it to ford where a rep reset the remote via a super quick proceedure ive seen in another thread on here.remote worked and more significantly for yoself the light stopped flashing.
