Hi all,
I know this has been brought up before but I think it's been awhile. So given that I'm interested in a car interstate I thought I'd bring the subject up again to see if there is any new experiences or recommendations for good Vehicle Transport Company's. I can't say I'm too impressed with what I've seen and heard so far. Cheers Grahame. |

If I can not carry it myself, I've had good experiences with Loadshift and Freightmatch where the transporter bids on your shipment.
Tip, I always use owner drivers cause they take great pride in their trucks which is reflected in the way they will treat you and your requirements. http://www.loadshift.com.au/cargo-ca...transport/car/ https://www.freightmatch.com.au/ I'm sure there's other car transporters on here.

Thanks roKWiz
Yeh that's what I'm preferably looking for (owner drivers). The bigger more common Company's don't seem to have very good reviews. Chrs Grahame. |

I know of a local in SE Qld that does interstate transport. I have not used them but I intend to this year. They have a very good rep. I can PM you their number, even if they can’t help you out they may know of a “good” guy that can

I would recommend Allens, the amount of care they took with my car was unbelievable. Driver would not unload the vehicle as the road was at the wrong angle, moved the truck and used rubber pads till he was happy. You can get cheaper, but I doubt the service would be good. Lot of cowboy drivers/operator's out there.

I used CEVA vehicle transport when transporting my Fairmont from Perth to Newcastle. From memory it $1250 and took around 3 weeks. Easy payment, pickup and drop off. No complaints from me.

Prix Car, it would more than likely go in it's own dedicated rail box, then put on a tilt tray and delivered to your door, well that's how mine was done when delivered to me.

To all the members who responded to my thread I thank you as it was very much appreciated. After spending quite a considerable amount of time filtering through all the dodgy carriers and finally settling on a recommended transporter (Private) I didn't end up engaging his services as the person that I was going to buy the car from decided the car was no longer for sale. WTF. It was going to be a project car over a 12-18mth period as I wanted to do some supple yet nice changes but nothing dramatic that would have made it look really nice and to a standard I'd be happy with.
I had lined up and put in place a number of things to get this done so as you could imagine I'm very disappointed to say the least. Anyway again thanks for your help. Cheers Grahame. |

Sorry to hear, disappointed I bet, but if the need arises again , door to door will transport anything , driver, non running, parts stacked inside.... a lot of the others will not.

I’ve used this bloke before. Melbourne to Brisbane door to door was $900 two years ago. Job done with in a week of a phone call.
It was a none runner as well.
