I've seen something very similar to this, though I'm pretty sure the one I saw had a 350Z instead... Was a great clip!

I’ve got the DVD I always believed the myth that it was a Ferrari driven by an ex F1 driver. Now that he reckons it was a 6.9 S class I’ve got even more respect for it (the Ferrari overdubbed gear changes sound very cool)
I’ve also got the Nissan “The run” DVD that goes through the streets of Prague and that’s got nothing on the original.

Although the original clip was shot through the streets of Paris one quiet morning apparently one of the lookouts who had a walkie talkie was stationed at one of the very large intersections the car flew straight through. He was to radio the driver if there was a car coming to warn him (as far as i'm aware, they were all totally open streets). After the run was over it turns out the lookout's walkie talkie was not functional.. ie dead batteries etc. The driver counted his lucky stars that at that exact moment there was no one driving through the same intersection at the same time. Don't remember where I read it.. probably online somewhere. |

Snow Patrol used the clip for their song Open your Eyes. It is a fitting song indeed, its an incredible filmclip. I could imagine a modern day version being shot with a hep of roadblocks and high speed pursuit.

this can never be done again, with the end of night (people active 24hrs a day) and the cops impounding stuff it cant be re-done well not unless they block off roads with blocks and stuff but that would remove the thrill somewhat huh...
