Hey forum,
I've bought a bottle of wynns auto transmission treatment for my automatic. But i'm stuffed as to where to find the cap so i can put it in! I've got a s3, so any light on the situation would be awesome. Thanks |

The filler is on the side of the box, underneath the car. The old dipstick/fillers went out with button-up boots

I can only assume that u bought a bottle of treatment, because the transmission is playing up. If so Solenoid nr 5 needs replacing. Be careful with transmission treatments, on AUs. Ive had some bad results when AUs were still cabs. Install treatment, the next day install new G box. The only treatment that ive experienced that works is that american stuff in the white bottle can't remember what its called. I used it in the transmission i took out of my AU3, the Gbox had 300000 km on it as a taxi, then i installed new engine with 700hp turbo, drove it for a year then installed another new engine and a manual gbox, the auto ended up going into another Ex cab of ours and within a month started playing up, Put in stuff in white bottle, and gbox has been ok since. I feel sorry for who ever buyes that car, itll need a gbox real soon. I appologise for ranting. As above filler plug is on the drivers side, of the gbox, 16mm plug, on side of gbox towards the rear. Please dont round it off, and good luck.

The Auto Trans Treatment you've got will revitalise the old ATF in your tranny. If you've ever seen the demo, you'll have a better understanding.
If you've got the cash (around $150.00 and well worth it IMO), cough up for an auto trans flush. Let us know what you think of the treatment though.

I use nulon treatment in mine - never had an issue with it at all, and yes, it's a pain pouring it in the side of the gearbox.
