Default Ladies & Gentlemen.. Opinions Please..

Hey,

Well i put my new number plates on today and kerry (TIKFD6) suggested a bit of a cosmetic change to suit the new number plates.. Here is wat he had in mind..

OLD LOOK:

http://www.fordforums.com.au/photos/...cat=500&page=1

http://www.fordforums.com.au/photos/...cat=500&page=1

NEW LOOK:

http://www.fordforums.com.au/photos/...cat=500&page=1

http://www.fordforums.com.au/photos/...cat=500&page=1
Its not permanent but wat do you people think? I am in 2 minds about it.. I like how much it stands outs but i also think it makes the car look "cheap"..

Opinions please..

Cheers,
Nik

Dump the red stripe, I hate red stripes. And it's probably a bit late know but I would've suggested blue plates

Are you talking about the red strip?? I liked the chrome better, but still doesn't look too bad. What's that crap on your bonnet tho?? Don;t like that....

The blue plates just didn't look right.. i like the red.. it really stand out..

One other good thing bout the red stripe is that it matches the RESPONSE logo which most of my audio gear is..

I will prob just leave the red stripe for a few days till the electrical tape comes off then keep the chrome look.. makes the car a bit blingier..

Cheers,
Nik

Nah take it off, looks crap. Chrome or black is the way to go.

Have you got a decent pic of what's on your bonnet?

Yer semi decent one in sunlight here.. What the pic doesn't show is the mini skulls that are in the flames and smoke/steam coming off the flames..

Airbrushing (and stick-on graphics) CAN look good but it needs to be part of an overall theme.. not just a picture on a bonnet etc.. just because it looks too much like a sticker from the checkout at supercheap..

I dont mind the red strip and plates, although I do prefer the before shot..

Originally it was planned as part of a theme.. was gonna do a dragon them through out car and boot then decided against it after it was too late.. The airbrushing didn't cost me anything as the guy needed practice.. it will prob be coming off the bonnet when i have the body kit painted..

Thanks for the comments guys.. i will take some pic's during the day tomorrow and post them up..

John xr6.. I really didn't like the look of the other colours on the car.. i took the 2 blue, black, yellow, orange, pink, and green display plates from vic roads an put each on car and red just tickled me right.. plus the rest of the car is done in red and blue.. I ordered a second set of the plates though in non-slimline form.. as the slimline ones are just too small..

Cheers,
Nik

oh so red lines are povo eh!!nah just kidding! my car has the stock red strip around the car and its mounted on the stock grey strip!! personally....i want it all body coloured!!!!! i hate the grey strip especially and the red id prefer either chrome, body coloured or maybe gloss black.

anyway i also thing the chrome strip looks better. plates arent too bad. after all...its your car!

OMG WTF did you DOOOOOO?!

put the chrome strip back! it looked so awesome, it matched with the rims and your car had so much style i really admired it.

the red looks tacky and so does the plates. a white on blue plate would have looked so much better.
