Default Speedo fluctuates when car is cold

As the title says, my speedo has a tendency to fluctuate when the car is cold under light throttle, but once it warms up it works fine again, I have already replaced the speedo sender unit and serviced the transmission and it still does it, the car is an AUII forte with auto trans

Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appeciated.

That's an odd one!
Have you tried the engine and gearbox earths? Perhaps they are a bit loose and make contact when the metal expands?

Spray the inhibitor switch on the side of the gearbox with WD40 or equivalent.

Do what JC says
when you say speedo sender do you mean transducer?
Try an EL transducer, thats what I had to do, I was eating transducers but apparently the EL ones are slightly more hardy in some fashion, if i remember correctly.
also check the voltage and health of your alt, they're known to play havoc with guages and what feeds them

An EL transducer? I'll give that a go if all else fails, and the alternator has been replaced with a brand new unit last week as the old one was on the blink so it can't be that.

Looks like I'll be looking into the inhibitor switch and earths then, cheers fellas

aha i knew it'd have to do with your alt in some way
it seems that sometimes when your alt is on its way out it likes to annoy your transducer
so i'd say the damage has already been done, getting a new transducer is possibly the way to fix it once and for all

Well it's still doing it, looks like I'll be hunting down a replacement transducer during my holidays
