ok so i do my usual park 500 meters from anyone go into woolworths to get some shopping and come out to a nice dent on the back of my 8 month old focus! no note nothing! only happened an hour ago so pretty ****ed off i'll try not to rant too much
anyone have any idea of repair costs my dad seems to say go get it repaired however to me its the end of the world and im gonna have to pay my excess and get a whole new bumper and spray... any ideas? Pic1 |

Man that's rediculous, I thought it would be something minor but that's pretty bad. It most most probably some in a Gemini who can't drive..
If only the paint is damaged then you might not have to get a new bumper, but it's hard to tell from the photo.

there is a pretty epic metal pillar behind the bumper which has bent the abs in the two places shown and cracked the paintwork. I've polished out the rest of the marks and it isnt as bad but its something i wanna get fixed asap

They might be able to just patch that up and respray the bumper. Either way, its not a cheap fix.

my view on bumpers is ...if you can repair it (rather than replace) at minimum cost then do it....as some other pr*ck is likely to hit your bumper again in the near future
