So i took a corner to sharply due to a person tailgating me and the CV boot on the right drive shaft popped. I replaced the boot as soon as i got home, but i now have a rattling noise going over small bumps.
other info that may help: * the outer CV on the shaft has a little bit of free play when its jacked up, but ive been told that doesn't matter. However the other drive shaft doesn't have any free play. * ive checked for any other loose pieces but i didnt find any. * I also jacked up the car, and put the car in gear and it still made some noises. From that i believe that it is the drive shaft. *when turning it doesnt make a grinding sound. If needed i can upload a video of the car jacked up and running. Please help me identify the problem because the noises are really annoying. Thank you for any help. |
