Default Nsw [23/7] - Fenix Goes To Wsid

Hey guys...
just thought I'd post up that i'm going to make the drive to WSID next week.
hopefully its not raining and I don't destroy my clutch (like the last couple of times I made the drive...)
Who's coming? either for Moral support or a little light competition?
- Daniel

working so can't be there until latish but it's been to long since my last visit to WSID so I'm keen on a moral support role, not to mention putting names to faces.

Forecast for Wednesday
Local early frosts in the west. A partly cloudy day with the chance of an evening shower near the coast, otherwise fine. Light to moderate southwest winds turning south to southeast in the afternoon. Dangerous surf conditions.
Precis: Mostly fine.

City: Min: 7 Max: 16 Parramatta: Min: 2 Max: 16
Terrey Hills: Min: 5 Max: 15 Penrith: Min: 2 Max: 16
Liverpool: Min: 1 Max: 16 Richmond: Min: -1 Max: 16

I think you'll be right Daniel, but check the link again before you leave tomorrow as well as phoning WSID (9672 1320). The winds should keep the humidity down too which would make for good race conditions I'm guessing.

I'd like to come down too, but can't promise I'll be there unfortunately :(

Right now its raining in sydney (im 10 mins from the city) so i doubt racing will be on tonight. Very unlikely for it to stay dry out there and very unlikely for wsid staff to let the show go on. i wont be out there

Results of Night...
Official 1st time completing a run...
Rather ordinary times... (See below)
Specs of car at time...

* Single Tb
* Spare and Jack included
* 4x wheels of 19" x 8" at 42PSI all round.. (about 40-50% tread)
* Extra weight of about 20kg of crap in boot...
* Non LSD drive line...
* clutch probably close to giving way too...
* 80.9kg driver
Again... was only 1st time to drags and to get a run...
My last race I thought I did best time but apparently I left the line before the tree was ready.... so no time slip...
Here's the results...
(edit: I'm T2 by the way...)

Daniel looking at your time slips i think your car has at best a high 14 or a 15 flat. Which isn't very good for the amount of money you have thrown at it and the time and effort. It's pretty shocking on the bang/bucks scale. It's been shown in the past that guys with stock n/a 6's with an air filter beating or matching your times. Your Mp/h also doesn't indicate that your car is making the claimed kw on the dyno.

Question:
1. what plenum where you using, stock or nizpoop?

This is the second car that has been molested by nizpoop and can't even get into the 14's

I don't want to defend Nizpro...
but I want to state that the car has been running bad ever since I had the Valve Springs go POP... ever since then it hasn't been making power and has been slowly LOOSING power... its probably got a whole 150rwkw now... but I'm trying to save for an engine replacement... High comp pistons the lot...
to tell the truth I was quite dissappointed especially after the amount of money i've spent...

2.23 and 2.28 are fairly good 60 footers for the times hes running (my pb with the destroyer was a 14.5 with a 2.21 60 foot) the mph shows thats its definately down on power. As other people are guessing 150rwkw id say thats on the money. Get a new engine find a new tuner. Mate for the money youve poured into it which is more than most people ever will there should be bloody legal action or something.

Ive absolutely lost what little faith i had in nizpro. Its not your fault or the cars fault timeslips dont lie youve been robbed. 190rwkw should be trying breaking into the 13's not struggling to break into the 14's. Did you get the car weighed on the night?

Dont despair man. If the car idles nice then it should be fine in my honest opinion.Get a compression gauge and test each cylinder.Just remember that the compression tester tends to read lower at the end of the test as cylinders cool down. Does the car idle nice? Does each spark plug look the same colour?

The show doesnt finish until the fat lady sings!! Dynos lie,air fuelratos lie too.The spark plugs never lie!! I reckon check what you have first then post or pm me. If these check out fairly good then the car needs a good tune to suit whatever you've bolted on to it.

Your manual car a 2.3 60 footers indicate alot of wheel spin or the car bogging down due to incorrect tuning.

Get the comp checked and also check the colours of the plugs. I ran 14.2's and have discovered I have an oil leak in the thread of spark plug in cylinder one!! I did the head up and voila..oil creeping down the thread. Nizpro are pretty alright. dont lose faith. Dont spend big unless you know for sure.
