Unhappy Rude people

Is it just me, am I being too picky?
Over the last few months I've noticed people coming onto FF and it's there first post or have only a couple under there belt and start of with...
Where can I find...?
Can someone...?
Wheres...?

There's no introduction like,

Hi guys/girls, new to the forum, looking forward to chatting with people, hoping to pick up some tips and advice. At the moment my car is making a funny noise from the diff does anyone have any ideas please.

Instead of for a first post "My diffs making a noise what is it?"

I'm a member on a few forums and it just bugs me, you wouldn't walk up to someone in the street and start a conversation like that.

Anyway, whinge over.

Your being too picky.

This is a forum. People with all types of personalities, all types of communications skills access this site.

Perhaps people just like to be a bit formal when they are after information.

Understanding is what is required, not a lesson on what you believe to be forum etiquette.

Some come to forums to ask one question and never return.

I think we should ban new members from posting until their post count is at least 20.

I think there should be fitness and aptitude testing on registration. Oh and everyone should bring a plate of food.

Yeah OK .... some things annoy some while others are more tolerant.

Sometimes people are not interested in joining a forum to have a long winded chat about all and sundry and just pop in to ask a question, get it answered and then move on with their life. Believe it or not ..... that is actually what these forums were set up for. Information on FORDS .....
