Does anyone know if a dick johnson replica xd, including the wheel flares would be street legal? im thinking it may not be with the width the wheels and tyres would have to be, any help would be greatly appreciated..

Nope dont think so..... had to get a permit to drive it in out little procession a few months ago. The wheel width would be the issue... flares arent a drama.

Should be no worries with the flares, over here in Vic I had problems trying to get a RWC because of the 10s on the rear..

yeh, thought the wheel width might be an issue, just got back from the muscle car masters in sydney and was thinking about a change in direction for my xd,its my favourite race car after the coke mustang..

Its the tyre width which is the issue... in QLD it says

Surely getting the cars engineered for wider tyres is just a case of ensuring the rear wheel bearings, axles etc are strong enough. I've heard of cars being engineered for wide wheels and tyres if the rear end is strong enough to handle it ie 9 inch, floating axles etc. Ask an accredited engineer. |
