Gotta start somewhere.. at least they have the balls to admit it.
I've mentioned this not that long ago that they're very keen to continue to work on this and have invested quite a bit of coin to do it. They don't expect the market to roll over and everything be rosey for them straight off, but if they continue to do the right thing and work towards it then it can only be a good thing for them. There'll always be the haters. Ford has its. Holden has its. Each brand does.

I think it will be very difficult for them (I am looking at every FCA dealership here) to maintain a 100% strike rate of happy customers, for every transaction. Dealers and their staff don't simply change over night. I am thinking it will be very hard for them to break their old habits and if one gets it wrong and it makes the news, it will set them back quite harshly.
At any rate, at least they are trying and it will be an interesting social experiment to sit back, watch and wait. |

Yeah, it's going to be tough sell, but at least they are having a crack, not like GM did with Holden.

Their build quality is appalling, worst I've experienced.
Customer care, same. I've owned one of their flagship cars and would never ever do it again. I tell everybody i can about my experience. |

I was going to buy an new JK Wrangler in 2010, but the horror stories of poor customer care put me off. Everyone said they were a great car, but when there was a problem with it you were on your own. |

I do agree their parts can be expensive in Australia, but if I needed them I would buy direct from the US which cost downwards of 30% the available price here.

Wouldn't touch Jeep personally.
They are well priced no doubt. Pretty good looking too. Very cheaply made obviously as per US vehicles. |

Harmonic balancer failed Radiator cracked Engine mount failed Seat warmer failed Archaic phone system Rough car on the road Recalled as a result of a previous recall not being done correctly Bugger all room in the car due to absurdly thick seats and design generally. Not a comfortable car on long trips either plus wallowed around at speed My XR6 turbo was a much better car: smoother, quieter and just aa quick. And as for the Police 300s they can't go by a servo without needing fuel. Again by all reports an uncomfortable car to drive especially compared to the 530D BMW. |

I'm not an SUV fan but have to admit the SRT and Trackhawk seem pretty ****en awesome
Though I have to say I only know mostly negative experiences from those who have owned them. In fact plenty that have plastered their back windows stating very obviously how they are lemons |

Chrysler Jeep has been making cars for decades now but interiors fall apart or exhibit seat wear at a rate 10x that of most other makes. I've seen them at 15000kms at auction with dash spears that have let go of the dash and are pointing at the passenger |

I have a mate who is a jeep fanatic. Watching him dealing with them has put me off jeeps forever, will take more than that ad to get me interested

Jeep will replace them regardless of warranty if they break. The whole set is worth roughly $6k.

Incredible that they still haven't sorted out an adhesive that'll hold inside a car for even a short period |

The new ones they replace it with are fine. There is a Jeep bulletin that explains how to claim new ones etc.

With Jeep/Chrysler/Dodge I reckon they should concentrate on their strengths like the RAM, Wrangler, Charger, Challenger and 300C rather than try offer a huge range of vehicles that no one buys. Cater towards a cashed up niche market with a limited range. I've got a real chubby for the 300 SRT models - it's a car that really appeals to me, big cubes, lots of torque, large sedan but I am scared off by the group reputation for unreliable and expensive, with a Commodore or Falcon you can buy parts from the milkbar and every workshop in the country has fixed our local large sedans before so they're not learning on your car. |

Here are two surveys.
The first is the JD Power survey in the US based on the first 90 days of ownership. https://www.carsguide.com.au/car-adv...w-car-be-40818 The second is a UK survey on the reliability for cars up to 5 years old. https://www.whatcar.com/news/2019-wh...-brands/n20069 Jeep is near the bottom in both surveys. When did they start improving?

Good on them. We will see if their actions back up the words. Their part prices are seriously expensive.
I have had a good run with our Jeep SRT. No issues apart from power window switch ($60 part) but then I always service on time and look after my cars. Lots of features, goes like a cut cat off the mark and sounds awesome with cat back exhaust. Considering the Trackhawk now. No performance family car from Ford available to even compare to.
