Is it beyond the realms of possibility even as a RAM type arrangement? Surely if they can make a dollar out of it (otherwise why would they be doing it?) someone else can with a bigger name plate in F Series.

This is what I was thinking too. I just read an article in reference to a potential Raptor rival where they mention Walkinshaw has been running 24 hours a day, five days a week for the last 12 months.

RAM sales are up 31% while the market is down 24% on the whole!

Or would it split the market too much?

I think they would worry about it stealing ranger sales. But the yanks thought that would happen with the ranger being re-introduced over there, and it had no impact on f series at all.

Different price points too, cause converted ones would be more than the raptor is priced at.

RAM has shown the conversion can work on smaller volumes, it's also shown there is demand for such a product.

What about a setup like the original Tickford of the early 90's? From memory it was part factory owned, part private industry - post-manufacturing additions created a niche product.

Saw a Super Duty in town today, looked huge and amazing.

I'm surprised how good they have gone. Despite the low volume, even in a small population, I'm seeing a lot of these trucks everywhere.

I think when Aussie V8 utes went a lot of people miss that spec in a car.

Also, dual cab utes are the new sedans for blokes - more practical, but still basically the 3 box design. A big V8 one is a no brainer.

Aussie V8s utes were always about car like dynamics with some capacity to throw a few slabs in the back. If that is not enough, then you could always get a trailer. Served us well for ages.

This has always been the disconnect with US 'trucks' in my opinion.

The new smaller F series would be a great seller here no doubt if they only gave it a chance.
Around here I see so many older large duallies still pulling big goosenecks and 5th wheelers. Chevy, Dodge and Ford.
