Hi AFF,
When I come to the full Post New Thread or Post Reply page and enter a message, then press the Submit button, my IE browser crashes and I lose the sesson. (I am using Mozilla to post this message.) My PC has IE 6 on Win XP SP2. No third party browser plugins. This only started happening on Thursday or Friday. Other forums using vBulletin are working fine. Any ideas? Anyone else have this problem? Thanks, Andrew.

Haven't used IE for years. Stick to Mozilla Firefox & Thunderbird (for emails) and you'll never look back.
Good luck |

We've certainly made no changes during the timeframe you mention.
Best I can suggest is clearing the browser cache, cookeis etc and having a nose around in your application logs to get a hint of what's going on. Checking whether flash recently updated itself may pay dividends too. |

Tools > Internet Options > Programs > Manage Add Ons Disable the "fowlr.dll" plugin. It sounds quite suspiscious! Andrew.

yes,
was happening to me aswell, thought it had something to do with the Antivirus / spywear protection i was using VET - CA.. Removed software and machine is running 300 times faster and better. Now im just back to standard AV, this full protection only ruins the performance of the computer.

Can't say I noticed any difference when I tried Firefox out - this is the first time I've had an issue with IE, and I don't plan to change browsers just because 1 website. It would seem though that there is a few of us having the exact same issue - so maybe there is an issue with this sites Java as someone stated is causing it?

Being involved in web development i'd say it's an IE specific problem, which is hardly uncommon, it's just that you usually don't notice it because we have hacked our sites (which work in every other browser 100% fine normally) to work with IE.

I have the problem with this site crashing IE. I run IE7 at both home and work.
Its only intermittent. But it closes all IE sessions. It always comes up with flash player being the problem. I think it is mainly the banners on the top of each page (which I find the links dont work anyway and take me straight back to the forum home page). It annoys me because we use alot of online ordering systems at work.
