Default Boot Release!!

Anyone got any thoughts suggestions on the following problem with my boot.

Seems as though the automatic switch triggers it's self when it feels like like it, releasing the boot lock. This happens more so when I trigger the doors, or put the ky in the ignitiion.

If I go out and the boot, by the time I get back into the drivers seat (close the door and put in gear) the bloody thing released again.

I am sure there is a short somewhere but can anyone point me in the right direction in terms of fixing it.

Thanks

unplug the loom off the rear latch first and try that, same for the switch on the dash.... if it isnt as easy as that it could be somewhere in the loom (chances are in the boot somewhere) or perhaps an issue with the BCM..

I am a little bit of a novice when it comes to these things

Can you explain a little more specifically?

Explain it to me as if I was a 3 year old :P

Pull the remote apart and see if there is anything making the boot release button stick.

Still have not been able to pinpoint the problem here.

Any extra help would be appriciated.

The boot release is tripping it's self forsure...but it's happening intermitantly.
