Default HSV Announcement

From HSV Facebook page :

"Tomorrow we unleash a #RareBEAST at 9am AEDST!

Be watching…"

I wonder what it is?,

New sticker special?

I hope they're not embarrassed about the falcon with a mere 335kw pipping them, and doing a power upgrade on the gts.

No more embarrassed than Ford must be having an SS with a mere 270kW pipping them.

Rumour is a blacked out senator with no chrome and a few bits and pieces added. No LSA though so I guess essentially a sticker pack for all intents and purposes. I can't imagine a GTS R very soon, if anything that would be left as a last swan song for them when production ends.

Unlikely as the Camaro is not going to be RHD anytime soon. Nothing but hearsay.

They are going to announce a new model where the stated output figures can actually be verified on a dyno and are not over inflated.

Yeah you're probably right it would make more sense to leave something like another GTS-R closer to 2017. Blacked out senator could be interesting

It is stoping them, hence they don't exist. Private coachbuilders will convert one for you, at a cost of $30K on top of the car itself and shipping from the States.

HSV will not be converting any Camaros, even the next gen one due this year isn't engineered for RHD like the Mustsng is.

Yep, that seems to be the case....

Introducing the Limited Edition ‪#‎SenatorSV‬! A ‪#‎RareBEAST‬ with only 50 available in Australia and 2 in New Zealand.

This limited edition builds on an already impressive list of standard equipment that includes a 340kW, LS3 V8 engine, AP Racing forged 4-piston brake calipers, HSV Performance seats in Onyx leather trim, Magnetic Ride Control suspension and a raft of technologies like Enhanced Driver Interface (EDI) and a Driver Preference Dial.

Complementing an all new lightweight 20" SV Rapier forged alloy wheel in Dark Stainless, are a range of striking “pitch black” exterior styling accents. The grille surround, fender vents, mirror scalps, luxury lip spoiler and door surrounds all receive the unique finish as does the vehicle’s badging. Bold quad exhaust outlets, with shadow-chrome tips, complete the exterior styling make-over.

The vehicle’s exclusivity is further enhanced through the fitment of uniquely branded “Senator SV” sill plates, an I.D. plate and EDI start-up screen, while each vehicle will be individually numbered.
