Default Has anyone rebuilt callipers EA-ED?

My callipers are pretty rooted at the moment and have a tendency of seizing. Has anyone here personally rebuilt them? If so, is it a hard job? Do you need any special tools etc?

*Fingers crossed that it's an easy job LOL*

Ive "helped" rebuild some calipers at work, its a semi-long process, which includes sandblasting, cleaning and using new seals etc. Use an air compressor with the air gun to pop out the piston.

You're best bet is to find someone that will take the calipers, hone the bore and give it back to you with a new set of seals.

Ah exchange sounds like the way to go. I wonder if the price will be reasonable?

I've rebuilt calipers in the past, it's not that bad a job.

yeah, it's not too hard, just time consuming. Hey by the way, I got a squealing sound coming from my front right brake, and the pads are new. There's not anti-rattle spring but its not that, I assume the disc has build-up or is out of round, and if thats the case there's no problem with fixing it.
But just in case, could it be anything else?

Glazed pads can cause squealing.
