Default MB Mondeo TDCI Transmission

Hi All, I've spent a fair bit of time perusing through lots of posts, but I can't seem to find an answer to when is the recommended servicing of the standard 6 speed auto transmission gearbox on my 2009 MB TDCI? Any help would be great.

The service booklet that came with the car say 100,000 km. I'd suggest halving that for any kind of severe service such as stop-start traffic or towing.

Many thanks for that. My car has 120K on the clock, and I can't be confident that an auto service was done prior to when I bought the car at 90K. Maybe I'll just get it done, at least it's the standard sports automatic so hopefully won't empty out my wallet.

Yeah I bought an MB with 120K kms and did the Trans @150K (flushed it three times) not knowing it's history and again two services later @ 180K kms single flush, I've got enough in the 20L drum for another so I'll keep to every 30K kms. There's no user changeable filter and for $170 for 20L drum I don't find it expensive at all. It was dark even after 30K kms but not opaque like the first flush.

Thank you, I'm probably not going to be able to make it a DIY task, would you take a guess at what a workshop would charge to do this? I wonder if it could be done for $250~$500.
Like yourself, not knowing the service history of the auto, I think I'd like to get it done. Mind you I've seen some fantastic tips and guides here on how to do it, and if I only had some tools I might have considered having a go. It seemed reasonably straight forward.

The local auto specialist quoted $250-300 depending on how much fluid they needed to flush it clean.

Yeah I'd have thought $250-350 would be acceptable but you're going to find out workshops looking for a killer pay day so it pays to look around.
