Default hands free phone music through factory speakers.

I seem to have a problem with music from my hands free phone and going through sound system

When I play genuine CD's they come in quality stereo, playing MP3 music it sounds mono....
am I doing something wrong.

Why are most kits geared towards damn Apple phones, there are others on the market.

Depends on how you have downloaded them and the quality/bit rate selected

That's normal for audio played thru Bluetooth, if you plug in and play via usb cable, you'll get CD quality.

Try owning a Windows phone buddy - no-one supports them

Rip your CDs into iTunes using AIFF or Lossless, and use the USB connection from your iPhone to your car. MP3 was good in 1998 when we were using dialup Internet.

As mentioned rip them to a lossless format but you will not be able to fit as many songs in that format compared to MP3

As an example most songs I have are at 128kbps for MP3. The same song from CD is 1411kps so roughly 9% of the original size so no surprise it is not as good. 3.5mb vs 38mb.

MP3 was more important in the days where internet was really slow and storage was not quite as cheap.

Hi. Unless you use a handsfree kit like the parrot MKi9200 or MKi9100 you will only get the audio quality needed for voice over the phone. The parrot units can be set up so that phone calls go through the mono phone input to the ICC and over ride all music sources and music streaming goes through the AUX IN input in stereo. depending on the model selected you can play music from bluetooth. USB, headphone jack or SD card. Cheers MD
