Hey fellas and ladies..
I am thinking about buying a Ford Falcon Sedan. Here is the stats of what Im looking for. Make: Ford Model: Falcon Price: Min to $16.000 State: Any Years: 2003 - 2006 Mileage: 0 - 100.000 Transmisson: Manual Colour: Preferably White Fuel Type: Has to be Petrol or Premium Unleaded (No LPG or Dual Fuel) Cylinders: 6 Has to be just a normal BA, no offence to all the XR owners but I dont really like the look of them, there is just so many and they all look the same no matter what people do to them (again, no offence.) Would preferably like the car to be white but am also looking for the car to be customized.. so if it is a different colour and customized then I'll have a bit of a look. Also, I know it might sound a bit odd for a 17 year old P-Plater but I dont really care about modifications under the engine, (I would rather have a head turner instead of something that goes 0 to 100 in 5 and a half seconds if you get my drift) an exhaust system would be nice but it doesnt really matter if it doesnt have one. I only really care about Customization on the Interior & Exterior. Also, If your thinking to yourself 'why doesnt this guy just have a look on carsales.com.au?' Believe me, I have. I have searched and gone through every manual Falcon, there is some really nice ones on there but Im just trying to see if there is any better So, If you have for sale or know of someone who has a Falcon like the above stats for sale just send me a message. Cheers |

If you're spending 16k you could get a BF mk II falcon.
I'm not sure but the manuals in those may be 6spd.

Yeah agreed with illavitar. The BF mkII is a much better choice overall. I was looking at similar cars before i got mine and discovered that the BA occasionally had a few problems here and there. As a younger bloke you dont need that trouble.
For your price range seriously concider the BF mkII either in a falcon, falcon SR pack or even potentially a Fairmont Ghia (sometimes theres one in that price range), its just a better developed car. Also i love manuals, but im a bit of a suck for the auto 6 speed. If you can get a BF mkII with an auto 6 speed for your price your laughing, absolutely great automatic transmission.

If you wanna go to the effort I reckon go for an XR6.
Reasons: -You're more likely to find one in manual -You get a couple of XR goodies in the interior -Parts are worth more There woud be a fair few people out there wanting to swap their front ends for an XR one so you would have no trouble swapping that over. Also you have the side/rear skirts and spoiler and alloys. All that is if you can be bothered of course, but it would be a bit of work. |

You want a manual trans but not an XR, so you're really looking for a modded manual XT, which will be very hard to find. My advice would be to buy a manual XR and swap the front bar over to look like an XT or fairmont. You'd have no shortage of people wanting to swap their XT/Fairmont bars for an XR one.

So you think “all XRs look the same” but you want to buy a base model XT?
Unfortunately manuals are as rare as hens, except in the XRs. |

You could always buy mine.
2006 BF XT 92k on it. Full service History and has FPV leather steering wheel and XR8 mags on it plus DBA slotted rotors. Its Lightning Strike Silver though and Auto but with the cash left over could easily do a Manual conversion if your up for it. In Brisbane. $10,900. |

Cheapest FG with a manual transmission though was about $25,000.
Well outside ntguy01's budget. |
