Default Zeitgeist - the movie.

I just watched this and it is probably one of the most eye opening films I've seen.

http://zeitgeistmovie.com/main.htm

The movie is about 2 hours long, it's very very interesting. defiantly worth watching.

Intro goes for about 10mins.

There's alot of history in there and alot of things you probably didn't know.

i watched this about 2 or so months ago, me and my gf found very interesting and enjoyed it, as it was well put across and not a one sided look at things.

I watched about 10 minutes of this and I am fascinated by it but will probably get it on dvd (if I can) because I'm worried that watching 2 hours of it online will kill my download allowance for the month. But I am definately hooked and intrigued. It's so interesting!

I've also seen loose change, there's some holes but a good watch.

Anyone interested in animal rights/how we use animals should also watch Earthlings. Bit O/T but just finished watching it.

Zeitgeist is very compelling, makes you wonder why most of the world is oblivious and happily so!

Good to get some other recommendations, will add them to the list...

Here's a few more:
Genetic Conspiracy - Following the Trail (GM Foods)
Good Copy Bad Copy (Copyright)
Steal This Film II (Copyright)
Great Global Warming Swindle (Eco)
The War On Democracy (US vs the World)
Taxi to the Dark Side (Guantanamo interrogation)
Alex Jones - (Anything! - Gov't conspiracy)
Derren Brown - (Anything! - Psychology)

Warning: Take a maximum of one per day!

Alex Jones....the man is borderline fruitloop but even taking his footage and ignoring his commentary, his work raises many questions.
Check out the 'Cremation of dull care' ceremony from his Bohemian Grove video...very wierd stuff by very powerful and influential people, the current and several former US Presidents included. I hear the waiting list to join this exclusive club is a bit over 20 years.

I bought the DVD from the Zeitgeist site, very cheap, came in about 5 days. You miss alot of detail if you just watch it on the net, even the maker of the film said it on an interview a while back, that's why he put it out so cheap. Excellent movie but it does go for too long...

That was probably one of the best documentary's I've seen so far, plenty of information and all explained in a way that everyone can understand.

If you're interested in that sort of thing, another good one to watch is "American Drug War: The last white hope". It was on foxtel under the "America Exposed Uncut" series if you have the CI channel on foxtel.

It highlights some connections between the US government and the drug trade in America. One interesting piece of information is that Afghanistan did not produce heroin before 9/11, now it supplies 80% of the heroin that makes it into America.

(This post is by Lori, Monty's wife, because this bloody site won't let me log him out)

Ahh bugger, I looked at the title and thought the Smashing Pumpkins might have released a new DVD to do with their new album. Oh well.

Might have to check this doco out sometime anyway.

I'm going to watch it as soon as I have some time.
Having said that, here in is the paradox- It's one documentary and based on reviews I have read is quite flawed in its arguments (you really have to be a know it all on all fields to have full understanding of all the issues it covers)
Get on google and check out the sites that refute Zeitgeist the movie
I'm just adding to the discussion I love conspiracy theories- they make great movies!

I borrowed it of a mate a while ago.

Watch it with an open mind and it makes you think, well worth wasting some time watching it.
