My mate has a CFI EA, he can get a hold of a MPFI system to suit. Another friend who is not only an apprentice mechanice, but a holden lover, says he will need a different hear. Is this true ? i thought the heads in the CFI/MPFI EA were all the dodgy same ?
Can someone let me know. Regards Luke

No need for a new head. He just needs to change the MPFI manifold, fuel rail, injectors, the TPS, ISC, and air temp. sensors etc...

yep heads are the same. Cept, the MPI has a painted rocker cover. woo!

Funny you should mention that, Most auto outlets sell to different head gaskets, dependant on weather the ca is CFI or MPFI. hmmmm, i smell rip off.

thats becasue the cfi one has a different inlet gasket becase the cfi doesnt have injector slots in the gasket

I converted my car from CFI to MPFI without changing the head and it runs fine (117.6rwkw @ the dyno day yesterday even..)
