Default Fraud?

Just wondering what peoples thoughts are about this. I have my car displayed on a certain site (along with other falcons and cars), yet someone has taken one of my photos and claimed it his car and used it for photoshop jobs. now some might say that this is a good thing, he likes your car, yea but the thing is he didnt ask me first, and when i ask him things on there he gloats/deletes my comments. Now i went through the terms and conditions and it states that if someone is displaying a vehicle which is not their's then that member can be deleted. i have wrote numerous complaints to the staff since 4 weeks ago, yet nothing. What do you guys think? And what would the moderators here do? No one probably cares but i dont like people ripping off my car as their own. Cheers...

the guy using ur pic is probably new to online car trading or he has simply absolutely no regard for other peoples' property. the pic is your property and he is using it to promote his own business. i'd be ****ed off.

I doubt the mods or alot of other people would care about it to be honest. Putting any image on the net already causes enough IP law controversy - it's essentially putting an image in the public domain. Unfortunately this is one of the results.

At least it's not something derogitory towards you. Imagine if you were that asian kid pretending to be luke skywalker in the garage that ended up being the number one hit on youtube. I know your venting on FFAU but there are worse things in life.

I wanted to compare your images to the images used and how they are used.

Dave AU your right, but i'm allowed to be annoyed.
xcgxl if that happend, hahaha, i may find my car missing oneday lol.
LTDHO- i was wondering what the moderators here would do if someone was using another members photos of a car and saying it was theirs. I mean if it says in the terms and conditions its an offence, the mods have to do something right?

Not an easy question to answer, and has been discussed several times on the forums before, seems once an image has been uploaded it is free for the picking.

I have had my car used in several adds without my consent, all images uploaded to public sites, with no water marks.

If we received a complaint then we would ask for both parties to comment, and go from there.

I had build up pictures of my sub box used on some american car audio site, with the bloke claiming he did the work. There was a few of us who he did that to.
We got in touch with the forum, as well as leaving a few public messages, and they got removed.
