Default Fiesta Zetec - Dash warning lights, light up like a Christmas Tree

we have a 2009 Fiesta Zetec and had suddenly the dash warning lights light up like a Christmas tree. we lost all of the following features.
-Power steering
-ABS / Fraction Control
-Speedometer stopped working
-12V cigarette lighter output no longer working

the following warning lights are on
-Engine Warning Light
-Break system warning light
-ABS warning light
-Stability control
-no seat belt warning reminder

the car still drives. we had the car at the mechanics diagnosing and they replaced sensor wheel speed left rear and right front which made no difference.
But we are out $450. we wend to Ford and they want $175 per hour diagnosing the issue. We dont really want to spend a lot of money, the car is 10 years old however it is worthless with current faults.
Anybody came across something like this

Had something similar happen on my BT-50. Changed the battery, all good.
All the lights just came on, went into limp mode.
Pulled over, turned it off, let it sit for a few minutes, started as normal.
Suspected the battery, test showed it was on the way out.
I also every 6 months or so disconnect the battery (+), let it sit for 10 mins to discharge,
reconnect, drive as normal, it seems to reset all the electronics.

I have the same vehicle, so interested to know the outcome.

I had a friend recently with a Chrysler 300C that made the 'possessed' transition. New Alternator and Battery. The auto trans would hunt for gears, the interior displays went wonky, the car would stutter and go into what felt like a limp mode, the wipers turned on by themselves.

It may not be the ultimate cause, but it sounds like the first place to check - whether you're getting 13.8 to 14.4 volts out of the alternator or not.

But wait - no power steering? How is that related to electronics. Aren't they hydraulic? Or is yours a model with electric power assisted steering (EPAS)? If it has hydraulic power steer, could this be a massive belt slip, and it's your belt tensioner that is frazzled? Otherwise if it does have EPAS, we're back to the alternator. Or a ground strap. Ground straps get everyone.
