I am trying to replace the front seal in the transmission. Can get all the bolts out exception for one. They where pretty soft bolts by the look of them. I started with a socket, but it started to round off. Then I tried with Vice Gripes, still no luck. Does anyone have any other ideas??

get a dremel, cut a slot into the head of the bolt and try and hit it with a flat head screwdriver. Works a treat on jammed bolts on my bike.
If that doesn't work, get something strong and hollow that will fit over the handle of a wrench or whatever for a breaker bar. Maybe even try spray a shiitload of WD40 or RP7 on it. Hope this helps |

not being funny, but if you intend on carrying out more repairs yourself, get better quality tools, that's assuming you used the correct size socket to start with

Get a socket that's a little bit smaller and smash it on the nut with a hammer.
Work's for me. |
