Firstly, your link doesn't work. Secondly, I can't believe they would grant a person like this a VISA when this type of scene is defined by the rampant use of ILLEGAL drugs.

I work for Future Entertainment as a head promoter for the Geelong region, and I can say that they work with police so that to the best of their ability that all their events are run drug and trouble free.

Armin Van Burren is a great DJ in his own right, but he is no Tiesto!

Ok cool. I'm an old fart, so I don't know these things. Is there a movie actress called Amy Van Burren? I thought that was her, but obviously not.

I was in Dick Smiths Powerhouse one time and there were all these people lining up for an Autograph for some celebrity who was gonna be there soon. I asked who it was, and it was a DJ. Can't remember his name, but he was a DJ from Sydney. I was a little confused by all the fuss and how come they have star like status, but apparently, they know how to push the on/off button on an MP3 player better than anyone else. Don't worry, I was impressed. We even got a free beenie. I wish I could remember his name. And the beenie was red.

How can they book out a stadium to see someone put some records on the turn table? Do people who goes to these even know what a record is? What makes a DJ good? Is it because he can pick good music? Is it the way they can make a record go backwards? Can I book them for my sons 21st? Am I really that old? Fair questions to try and understand I think!

I think you will find its a rave party type arrangement. Six hours of the usual dosgy stuff.

Which of these DJ's are from Sydney. The name Benny Benassi sounds familiar. I wonder if that was the guy I saw.

each dj is seen to be unique in the way they mix tracks and keep the crowd on the tips of there fingers and knowing what their fans expect to be played. A DJ like any other band have their anthems/hits that their fans will expect to hear and hopefully the quite lengthy 6hrs will be enough to play all the vinyl's he owns and keep his fans whether drug affected or not wanting more than the 6hr set.

Pretty much all the Australian DJs cannot make it outside Australia except for a few hardstyle DJs (hard techno/doof doof) who play in Europe and have signed with international label

So by your logic anyone who drives a European car is a ****** and every yobo bashes his wife and drinks VB. Seriously mate grow up, just because someone likes a certain type of music it doesn't automatically mean you can paint everyone with the same brush.
