When changing my coolant the other day I thought how I had never heard my radiator fan turn on... perhaps it has just never gotten hot enough? The temp guage has certainly never gone above half. Even when sitting still idling for long periods.
Every other car I have owned has always activated its fan at some stage. Today I checked the engine compartment fuse box and there is no fuse in place r12 (could be r13). It is one of the big square fuses and the diagram in the fuse box lid shows it as a fan. This fuse has never existed in my car since î have owned it nearly 6 months. Any ideas on this? Is this the fuse that would be required? Any reason it isn't there?? Do others notice their cooling fans operating? Thanks in advance :-) |

Try turning on the airconditioner as the front fan should come on regardless of water temp.

I haven't personally noticed an auxiliary fan kick in at idle either...

Yes the fan activates when the ac is on! Cheers, now i know the fan works, surely is a nice quiet fan. I still wonder what that missing fuse is meant for. Some extra i guess...
