I have no idea why but the first thing I thought of was those untrasonic cleaners that can be used for eye glasses.

I don't have one, I don't collect model cars but if we are talking about grit and grime in hard to reach nooks and crannies i wonder if it may just work???

Before you start thinking about cleaning them, have a thought about how your going to KEEP them clean. Ikea (cough choke splutter etc etc) have glass walled display cabinets.

Then using cotton buds and cotton balls gently wipe. Go to Biante forum or any other forum dealing with diecast cars join up and learn.

Ultrasonic cleaners will damage plastics, metal is ok though.

I use a quick detailer like Meguiars, microfibre cloth and cotton buds.

You mean to say that you don't have a burning, yearning desire to have a slinky, svelte 1/18th scale Festiva of the yellow variety???

The only 1/18 festiva I know about is about to be recycled.

But I could be wrong.

They are all in glass cabinets but over time dust still gets in. Good time to sit down with a microfiber and a Jim Beam then.

I use nothing but a microfiber cloth. Some people use a ultra fine car polish once then just a microfiber for maintenance.
