Angry Focus Fuse box fault

My 2011 Focus whippers stopped today so a quick trip to the auto electrician and find out it is the fuse box and will need a new one. $1100 plus install costs. Has anybody else had issues with this? The car is 7 months out of warranty which makes it all that much unpleasant.

I would be asking for details personally, please justify that finding.

in my experience the fuse box is prone to poor connections if it is bumped or moved which is easy to do as it sits in the passenger footwell against the firewall. I have had problems when replacing the pollen filter as you need to move the fusebox to do that and one of the out going wire looms came loose but a bit of fiddling and it was Ok again and no problems since

The electrician said he checked everything a you could here the relay clicking in the fusebox. Have taken out the fuse box and double checked the connections and all seems good. Found a second hand box for $185 so will just buy that and see how it goes? If I take it somewhere else for a second opinion it will just cost me another $100. ???
