Default EBII Fairmont Ghia 5 Litre With XC Bonnet Buldge/Scoops

aii guys, well it first started off as talk, my brother wanted XC scoops + buldge on his bonnet, but nothin was done bout it for awhile. He eventually bought a XC bonnet and a EB bonnet, from a wreckers, and over time slowly, he cut out the scoops (pretty much the whole buldge) slowly, and merged it into the EB bonnet etc, one of a kind really isnt it? (i havent seen anyone else do it?)...

anyways we havent got photos of the progress, but only of the completion all i know is it took a loads long time but finally it is complete and lookin nice, (i drove it, and i had a VT clubbie stop infront of me wen i was at the roundabout giving way to him, he jumped on the brakes, starred, and then dropped his clutch and spun it round the roundabout, why ?...(i reckon alotta holden owners will think he copied the monaro)

anyways, heres the pics...

Looks tript! But for some reason I don't mind it. Congrats on the idea!

When you described what the plan was and before the pics loaded I was thinking, oh no.

But that looks damn fine. Better than the genuine EB series bonnet flutes. And more at home than the Monaros copy of the old Ford.

What's wrong with people today??

That looks terrible, you might as well fit a XY rear wing and bolt on some 12 slotters.

same idea I had for EAV8 (but then I'm running a 70's 5.8 clevo) but do you think I can get a cheap bonnet to cut up? not easy.
I have seen another ea/eb with the same idea but they also had a hornet scoop and it was a bodgy looking job. Also it was only i6.
I think it looks like it's meant to be there and I applaud the workmanship.
Hmmm xy rear wing....I wonder. lol
:thebirds:

also if you took a mould from it you might get some sales I would say.

Doesn't look too bad. I wouldn't do it to my car, but it looks like a good professional job.

To be all honest there is a EA going around Adelaide with an XY GTHO rear wing on it, and to tell you the truth it doesn't look that bad.

If i didn't prefer bootlip spoilers, i would consider putting one on mine. : :
Nah just kidding, the spoiler would have gone with the look of my car 2 years ago with the Snowflakes and 265's on the rear and the small front runners but times have changed, and they don't come in chrome.

That looks fantastic. Much better than a BA bulge on AUs etc. I would love to see it in real life too - I'm betting it looks better than what the pictures show!

Is he planning to funnel in the cold air from the scoops, into the CAI?

Amazing workmanship in both cases, well done to you and your brother Grechie.

To my knowledge, the first car to do this was a white EA wagon spotted on Ebay. It had twinlights and what not. I don't know if anyone else still has the pics but in that case it was not a particularly pretty sight - original nonetheless.

That looks unreal definetely looks better than the EF, but the EF would look better if the bonnet protector wasn't there
