Replaced the cam shaft sycnroniser in my AU falcon yesterday (V8 windsor).
Is there any easy way I can tell if I did it correctly? Car seems to be running fine and sounding the same as it always has, minus the cam shaft sync whinging when I put my foot down. I was thinking of getting a mechanic to have a look when I take it in for a service. I'm a little worried because it wasn't until after I replaced it that I realised that I needed to have the engine on the compression stroke when on TDC and that it could be 360 out. Anyways it seems I may just of gotten lucky, but I was reading that just a minor degree out from TDC can have consequences. I took it for a good run on the freeway with no dramas, around 150kms. |

Mine runs fine after I replaced my synchroniser too ... apart from the hesitation from a standing start. Might have to pull it out and start again

Mine also has hesitation but I never really noticed it until I read it on here. Regardless, it was doing it long before I replaced the cam shaft sync.
