Anyone seen the 2001 French movie "Amelie".....

This happens in the movie. Since then, every few years a guy on the radio or a newspaper article will say how there is a story of a garden gnome being nicked and taken around the world.. and making out like the person doing it was 'very creative and original'....

Nope, but I did pinch a garden gnome from a servo in Kimba (SA) and took it on holidays before returning it a couple of weeks later with some photo's of it at various SA locations in about 1989.
