Not really calibrated for anything.

It doesn't use the same electronics as the std maf. To run this maf you will need the ecu and the 24# injectors.

The ecu has a transfer function in it which says for x voltage from the maf the engine is using x kg/hr of air. The ecu then looks at other things such as rpm tp % engine temp air temp and calcultates the engine load and fires the injector according to the fuel maps. The eec has programed into it the size of the injectors - in the gt's this is 24's

If you pop this maf onto a std car it will run poorly. The maf electronics will be giving the rwrong voltage for the amount of air the engine is using as the std eec has a different transfer function.

To start to do it properly it needs the matching eec and injectors.

The misconception that the maf is calibrated for the injectors is rubbish. This is only in the case of aftermarket units which are recalibrated to work with different injectors by either increasing or decreasing the output according to the injectors that are going to be used.

The only thing you could do with this maf is take the electronics off and put the std one on. It will work kind of ok but you'll get some drivability probs. Internally they are the same as the AU mafs.

darnoldrs: Yours must be a series 2 el if it has the intake belmouth. You will still only have the 55mm maf anyway.

just checked and yes it is a 55mm MAF. i tried a 75mm MAF I have. surges heaps at idle(even stalls) but it grabs a rev real quick with it.
62mm TB also so the standard MAF seems to be a big restriction??
