Hey guys,
now that my old EA has been retired, im considering doin the AU motor swap, an probably alot of other things whilst its off the road....

just wondering now that it has been out of rego for ages, whats the go with getting it past a blue slip(NSW) after the swap...

im thinkin if im gunna do it, im gunna do it right, so was thinkin the AU short motor, with the EF/EL(havnt reserched it yet) BBM an loom an thermos an that?...

whats the go with getting enginers cert. for this type of thing?...

will i need emisions tests an all that (expensive)crap done?...

cheers in advance..

Have a look at this thread

http://www.fordforums.com.au/showthr...+AU+Conversion

It gives you all the info you need

I think the only time you will need an engineers approval is if you cut the k frame being the motors are classed as the same capacity

Hope that helps
