Default air con

hey all....when the air con is turned on....the revs stay up at 2000-2500 rpm....turn aircon off and it goes down to 800-900..could this be the isc???

got new coil pack from ebay will fit that soon and exhaust leak getting done on weekend

Try resetting the ECU. The revs going up would indicate the ISC is doing its job

Yeah but 2500rpm at idle with A/C on is way too high though.

Yes the computer is probably holding it wide open rather than the smaller percentage it should be.

mine use to do that..... it was a seized or partly seized bearing or something

having the aricon and the bearing in the pulley seizing puts even more strain on the motor to rev up....

too long ago now for the old brain to remember....

damn huh...my air compressor, condensor etc..has just been replaced....place wouldnt give me another one...is making wierd noises...going in on fri to mech to get checked out and hope can find prob with pump to get replaced
