I wonder why manufacturers are greedy to make certain things standard on a car. Fiesta is such a beautiful design Ford took all effort to fit projected headlights for this little car but dont want to give HIDs, what a shame. I think it should be made mandetory for all new cars to be fitted with HID lights from factory just like ESP, Airbags, etc,. Because, HIDs give more light, consume less energy means more fuel economy, last lifetime of the car means no hastles or replacing globes. A good HID kit will cost between $100-$200 and it costs less to car manufacturers coz they dont just order one. This is another way of going green, saves fuel, saves globes and money ofcourse.

If I had a fiesta with projected headlights (wont recommend if they are not projected) I would fit a good HID kit straight as it costs almost the same as the blue vision globes cost. I wont suggest you though because its not legal and may void cars warranty too. Whatever globes you choose make sure they are within the standard wattage. Philips has globes with 80% more light which are still within the standard wattage (am not talking about volts). Dont go for globes with high wattage as they heat up the wires and its not good on long run. cheers.

Phillips Blue Visions are what I have. Love them to bits. Another two members here have the same, and again they're wrapped.

Hey there, I also have the blusevisons, awesome bubls much brighter then factory, Mine were $65 for the H7 and $89 for the H1. I also tried the Phillips Crystal Vision which retail for $139, (all from Autobarn) IMHO they were to blue and offered less light then factory so they were promptly returned.

Go for the Bluevisons, they offer the best light and are as blue as you can legally go... crystal and diamond visions are both illegal in all states although i'm not sure about the xtreme power...

Here's a euro thread about the bluevisions.

Got mine from another Forum Member who accidentally ordered two sets. Cost her about $120 for both the H1 and H7. Definitly worth the outlay.

X-treme power offer about 90% more light than factory (apparently).

I definately noticed a HUGE difference to stock lights!

On a side note, i HATE HID lights - all they do is blind other drivers!

Well I've got the WQ, and you need to remove the entire headlight unit. You either need to pull em out and pray you don't break anything, or take off the bumper. Crazy Germans!

Same with the WP, you need to remove the entire light unit. No need to remove the bumper though.

Of course, I've done it so many times I could probably do it now with my eyes closed.

Don't be afraid to reef the headlight out. I too crapped my pants at first, but it's ok as the first time you remove the headlight it's in there pretty good.

Super Cheap I know install bulbs, but it's usually only when they supply the lights themselves?

TBH, I think they will be less careful with your car than you will ever be!

IMO you should take your time and do it right

The oil from our skin is bad for the bulb and may shorten the bulb's life. It's usually not too bad though, just try not to make a habit out of it.
