Hi all,
The 2016 Nulon Nationals is the 3rd year of this great event run by Nulon. It's a grass-roots motorsport event where Nulon sponsor motoring clubs/forums to battle it out as the best club/manufacturer. Ford Forums AU has participated over the last two years across the different disciplines with a variety of cars. In 2015 there were 4 rounds: motorkhana, hillclimb, time attack/circuit and drags. Despite our best efforts we landed in 8th spot, so definitely looking at putting together a killer team and going up the rankings. Here are some videos from the rounds this year, you can see a few different Fords that made up the team - Falcons/FPVs (V8's, T6's), F150, Focus'/Fiesta's and even a GT40. Round 1: SMSP Motorkhana https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=scMOrYf3IRQ Round 2: Bulladelah Hillclimb https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=01GGQK9h0WE Round 3: Wakefield Circuit/Time Attack https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=psC5Mi-DCcs Round 4: Cootamundra airport drags https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RnKBZltt4es The four rounds for 2016 that I'm seeking expressions of interest for are: Round 1: SMSP Motorkhana/skidpan - 16th Jan 2016 (3 spots) Round 2: Bathurst Hillclimb - 14th and 15th May (5 spots) Round 3: SMSP GP Circuit - 23rd July (5 spots) Round 4: Drags (location & date TBC) (5 spots) What I'm looking for: - QUICK cars that are prepped for specific events. Big power isn't always best like we found out last year. - Something different. We were Falcon heavy last two years, looking for more variety (Focus'/Fiesta's, F trucks, GT40's/supercars, Mustangs - old and new, anything else) - Commitment. If you put up your hand for an event, I expect you to be able to make it. I'll take a reserves list for each event in-case of last minute dead relatives/unforeseen mechanical troubles. If you're on that list I'll give you a couple days notice. Please make your best effort to be ready - last minute mods backfired on a few of us. - CAMS L2S license. These are relatively easy to get, you will need one for any of the rounds. Happy to help you get one/point in the right direction if you're not a member of a CAMS affiliated club. For the record, last year we had a bit of a helping hand from some 'non-Fords'. I'll also consider these in the lineup as reserves, but really want to showcase the breadth and strength of the blue oval in each round. I will be balancing the team with experienced and also relatively new/in-experienced drivers. Let me know what you've got and what events you'd be up for. I will be the team captain for this year and happy to provide info and guidance for anyone in the team. Cheers, Andrew. Note: This thread is solely to promote and discuss the Nulon Nationals events. There is no product spruiking going on here, technical discussion of Nulon products nor is it a place to have a whinge. Nulon sponsor each participant's entry fee to these events that would otherwise cost anywhere between $100-$400, some exclusive/invitational. Please do not jeopardise our chances of being invited back to subsequent rounds/years. If you have any concerns, take it up with me directly, the admin team or russellw. Gents, full line up of clubs has just been announced. All the teams from last year have accepted invitations to come back, with the addition of the WRX NSW club. See the Nulon blog for more info http://blog.nulon.com.au/2015/12/2016-clubs-announced/
Have spoken with RS owners club at All Ford Day Sydney weekend past, they're on board to provide some quick small Fords. Don't hold back in expressing interest to participate, keen to hear from drivers at all levels of experience / types of Fords |

Great day on Sat for Ford team. Still waiting on final results, but we were definitely a competitive outfit. Had a little help from a NA S13 as our 'wildcard' entry. Few pics:
Next round is the Bathurst Hillclimb (2 days) on 14th and 15th May. Four cars already confirmed (GT40, XR6T, TS50, 'wildcard' Ginetta) with 1 spot left. |

Ok gents. First call for Round 2 - 2 day hillclimb at Bathurst. We've had our track XR6T pull out and it's replacement, so keen to hear from any quick cars in any of the classes. Preference is a NA over 3.5L, but keen to hear from others. Have put the call out to a few other Ford based forums/clubs but AFF gets priority.

Gents. Looking for drag cars for the final round at Cootamundra on the 24th of September. Preference goes to 10 sec or quicker cars. Let me know what you have and if you're keen. Entry fee is waived, just need to make your own way there etc.
