Umm there are a far few around but I reckon 90% of them are replicas.
http://www.roaringforties.com.au/ - these blocks do a good replica GT40 for around 75,000 i think? I maybe a bit more cannot remember. I saw one in canberra 2 weeks ago, i didnt look to crash hot to tell ya the trust, but still awesome to overtake a GT40 :-)

Theres an original GT40 from the 60's in Townsville. He does a few super sprints and hillclimbs with it.
And a certain tuner is apparently building a new replica. |

I saw one in Armidale. Couldn't believe how low it is looks like you can step over it.
Not bad for a country town that is lucky to see a HSV or FPV either. |

GT R-spec? You mean the recent FPV Cobra? They got the suspension upgrade like the 40th anniversary GTs and the F6 Typhoon R-Spec...
These the two GT40 replicas spotted in Melb? They were at the All Ford Day in Geelong too... 5-6 years work each! |

torxteer hit up the DRB website
they use either the 5ltr or the 4.6 or 5.4 (in vic and nsw you need to use the 5.4 or 4.6 as they need to comply with current emissions laws but in QLD the laws were relaxed to allow the 5ltr still)

that one is a customers car, its actually a replica. i used to work in hawthorn and the guys in pedders used to do alot of suspension work for me. the genuine ones in melbourne dont see the road at all, you will only see them at the sandown and phillip island classic race days. the gulf racing colours one i used to see around hawthorn aswell, that was selling at grand turismo for ages. |

There were 13 MK II versions built, seven MK III, 12 MK IV and six of the Gulf spec. Certainly not the sort of car that you’re likely to see every day. Quote:
