well yeah... 1st thing you need to do is pull your motor apart and check your bore. also what size pistons are they? 0, .5mm, 1mm oversize? also you don't know what condition your crank journals are in. they may need to be machined, so in that case you would need a certain size bearings. don't worry bout that though as bearings are about $30 for a set.

sorry just had another look at the ebay site and those pistons are 0.5mm oversize, so you will need to get your cylinders bored and honed. rod and main journals are std bearings so you will need to get your crank mearsured and machined or linished.

$750 is a ok price.. I get a great deal with repco and I payed less then that..

The e-bay kit seems ok with that kit and a good cam I dont see a problem with you getting 140kws and if you get it foe say .. 300 add another 600 for cam and 200 for machine work and peice it together on a sunny sunday arvo you will have a good motor

how much did you pay trick_XD with you discount? as i also get a very neat discount.

i wouldn't bother with a rebiuld kit, as all you need are the pistons, pins and rings. the engineering place will supply the bearings and bottom end gasket set for a few $$$, and you will be wanting to use an AU head gasket.

but $250 for a full rebuild kit i would pay straight up. i payed $390 for those pistons and rings RRP is somthing like $750.

yeah alright cool. i recon the head gasket in the kit would be just as good as its a composite gasket i heard they were good. i didnt end up bidding as i need to get my sizes and then i need to order it. and im hoping for 160rwkw with that kit and dev5 cam and headwork.
cheers josh.

I got all this and new water pump , timeing chain , guides x3 , and new guide bolts x2 the AU h/gasket and bolts .. all that and still change from $1,200

I used BA rods they cost me $180
but you could just use your own rods .. not a lot of diffrens
machine the block 10*and open up the oil gallerys
and reco a head with new valves and seats k.lines and 20hrs on the die grinder.. That sort of my motor .. and a few other little things
But My motor is L.P.G. thats why I went hi-comp

if you are on fuel this sort of setup would require atleast 98ron all the time.. But it would be a realy good commadore killer.. With or Without a stall and diff gears and you will be spending your money on tyres if your not carefull

I have all my part numbers at work so if you need something let me know.
This is the 2nd acl kit I have used and they seem good for what you get..

i use 98ron anyway so thats not a problem. and im using my standard rods but have sent my crank off to get balanced which i have to get my kit b4 they do that as they need the pistons and my pressure plate flywheel and harmonic balancer. i have had my head ported and i have a dev5 cam for it and am hoping for 160rwkw shouldnt be to hard as the dev5 kit gets 170rwkw.
cheers josh.
