I'm surprised no one has commented on the State of Origin yet.
Who do you think will win and why. If Queensland wins 4 series in a row, should NSW be banned from playing and maybe we get one of the other states to compete as they have a better chance than the Cockroaches. Oh, by the way, GO THE MAROONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Last edited by gossy; 02-06-2009 at 12:22 PM. Reason: had to get hanky for nsw supporters |

Pre season training for the NSW 2009 state of origin team in Sydney was delayed nearly two hours late this morning, after a player reported finding an unknown white powdery substance on the ground.
Initially officials thought it was a prank, The Coach immediately suspended training, while police and ASIO were called to investigate. After a complete analysis, NSW Police forensic experts determined that the white substance, unfamiliar to most of the players, was in fact, the try line. Practice was resumed this afternoon after Police & ASIO decided the team was unlikely to encounter the substance again.

The NRL have lost the plot, a NSW v Queensland comp played in Victoria, why why why. I dont care what size crowd they get it,s just not right. It,s allmost as bad as the V8,s in the middle east.

I'm a blues supporter but the maroons side looks way stronger. That means if we kick their bums the win will be soo much sweeter :

Coming from a Collingwood supporter, that has absolutely no merit. Have you been reading the jokes section TRIK67? I was born in Victoria and lived there for 18 years and am a devout CARLTON supporter so you can see I have no time for the black & white. : Anyway back on topic, what will the score be for the 1st game? |

QLD should win easy, they have 4 of the best players in the league- 1 of which has been called the best in the world in Billy Slater
I'll be at Game 1 tomorrow night, should be freezing! |

Maroons for sure, but more importantly Chris Judd will feel the pain of humiliating defeat at the hands of Queensland a few days later.

Going very rugged up to the game tomorrow night. Its just that they have a fantastic back and forward line. I hope they can stay strong in the mid section. Go Maroons!!

Channel 9 News has just confirmed that each NSW player will be carrying a hanky with them on the field for tonight's match.
Reporters have confirmed this with NSW Coach Craig Bellamy as the onset of Swine Flu is sweeping through Victoria. In his closing statement to Dermott Brereton from Melbourne's AFL Footy Show, Craig Bellamy announced that the hankies were indeed to counter act Swine Flu measures, and not for the tears streaming from their eyes when they will be crying like little babies when the Full Time siren hollers and the final score is QLD 22 NSW 12!!!!! : |

1st nsw try being disallowed may have been a touch unlucky but the pass by haynes was definitely forward so they get one they shouldn't. i guess thats the way it goes.

HERE HERE!!!! Mind, I still stand by my theory, more Refs on the field the more bad calls they're going to make, week in, week out is a shame on the game. Good to see that it transends from club level to the biggest game on the calander, gotta give 'em consistancey I suppose :
