From memory a 12/13 century Pope predicted that this current Pope is the third last Pope ever,there will be two more Popes,then it is the end of the world.
Apparently each successive Pope will be worse than the previous.
Given the age of this Pope we have about 30/40 years before it happens.
So might I suggest we all party like hell and go out on a high note.

Again from memory the last Popes name will be Peter the Pontificate or similar.

Only if we do nothing and let it happen,religion has a lot to answer for it has been the cause of many problems.
I look at it this way,all religions(modern) have the one God,he/she just has different names, why if this God is a caring God did he/she let their own son be murdered,why does this God allow the misery,suffering,poverty,conflict,war etc to happen.?????

Up here in Bris-Vegas, we used to have a Lord Mayor Jim Soorley. Lord Mayor Jim, amongst his past occupations was a Catholic Priest for 9 yrs, training for 6, or vice versa.
Heard him on the radio today, saying our new pope has always been a horrible individual.
Maybe they picked him because he's the oldest, and will slip away soon.

I think they said he was part of the hitler youth when he was younger. Btw i believe in God, but i dont believe in the catholic church, just a bunch of corrupt old pediphiles. Sorry if I offend anyone with those comments, but after all the allegations on the news and how they covered it up, that stuff just made me sick to the core. One of the worst things a human being can do.

and I think we are all referring to the same thing.

Apparently, a 10th Centuray Bishop named St Malachy who was regarded as a prophet, made a list of 112 popes in the future from that time.

He gave them a simple title. In John Paul II case, De Labore Solis, which means, "of the solar eclipse."

John Paul II. The 110th is "De Labore Solis" (Of the Solar Eclipse, or From the Toil of the Sun). The corresponding pope was John Paul II (1978-2005). John Paul II was born on May 8, 1920 during an eclipse of the sun. Like the sun, he came out of the East (Poland). Like the sun, he visited countries all around the globe.

At this point i'll point out that many people have felt in history that because the list ends at 112, that it is the end of the world - however this is not the case.. it just means its the end of an era.

One persons theory was that the final pope, #112, Vatican city will be destroyed in 2012 and he will be captured, dying in a prison somewhere (somewhere around WW3).
