Default What's next after FG?

FH - seems a long shot - but possible.
FI - just doesn't seem right.
FJ - who'd ever use that to name a car? Dumbest ever.....;-)
-
FL - For Losers?
FM - Maybe
FN - Nope
FO - $*(% Off! No way!
FP - hmmm, that might work....

I'd drive an FU Falcon for sure. But FG 2 has to be next. Then FG3.. if finances/sales dont improve then we could get up to FG-X lol

Nah, they should go back to the B's.

BG - stayin' alive.

The front air dam would have to have some MASSIVE white teeth though, dont know how that styling would go.

I think the FG shouldn't have been called that, it should be a B series imho was way too soon for a change, and the AU um.. one model with I II and III then was scrapped, wonder why... the B series was quite successful they should have stuck with it. as for what should be next - F"something" and it should stay that way for a decade imho

well each model code denotes a generation and each generation generally lasts 10 years (e series 88-98, a/b series 98-08, f series 08-18), they only went with B series because the AU was a flop and they didn't want it associated as the sales really wouldn't have improved..now the FG is a new generation of falcon, it'll stay that way for 10 years.. F K Falcon?

Part number and PCM codes in the weeks leading up to the FG launch did indeed show the BG naming scheme was being applied internally. Same as AV being applied to BA parts.

My guess is that they went for a name variation as a marketting ploy to make it seem like these cars were a new design - in the same way they went from AU to BA to put the whole AU controversy behind them. The 'rename to renew' mentality was obviously in full swing at the time, dropping long running name plates to introduce the G series.
