adult son with mild disabilities goes through Ipads like a butter knife. He is very rough with the charge cable and plug in the Ipad.
I am tired of replacing with new Ipads the plug cant be repaired good old Apple so been reading about Samsung Galaxy things and sound good.... But how in hell do I get info and photos off a Ipad and onto a nother brand. Apple really have you by the short n curlies

this would work in charging but what about data changeover, esp to another brand.
If I can pull all the data he has off and store somewhere, is it true I wont be able to download to a different brand of tablet.

Tonz, there are apps to transfer from Apple to Samsung phones, there's apps for tablets too...

Tonz, how are the Samsung plugs better? Won't they get destroyed the same way, just with a USB connector?

Its super easy. Years ago you had to plug both cords into a computer, but these days samsungs come standad with an app and a usb adapter thing. Samsung to Samsung is wireless. But ive done the apple to samsung a few times and its easy. Open smart switch, select other device. Press go.

An iPad has to be pretty ancient and quite damaged before it’s beyond fixing. The ifixit guides are a good indicator of common service procedures - so you can ask for a particular repair with confidence.
