Default 2015 Ford Everest

Unveiled on Ford Australia FB.
Looks exactly like the concept to me.

I think buying the last of the territory's would be a better buy for most people. Honestly it looks like a Toyota....actually I think the current Kluger probably looks better!

Looks like there is heaps of room behind the 3rd row, could be an illusion however.

Outside looks good, as does the interior although you can tell that the latter was designed on a budget. Quite cheap looking plastics (look at the centre of the steering wheel!)

^ no. but post 1992 switch gear would help. Seriously, for a 2015 new model - it's indefensible.

Oh, and it's made in China.... will be interesting to see if those that bag the Genesis for being made in Korea, will praise the Everest.

Looks good. If it's anything like the Ranger Vs Hilux it will absolutely make the Prado feel like a bucket of crap to drive.

I agree that the centre lower part looks cheap and old.
The all tan interior is not a good look either.

Front looks good, rear looks ok.

I don't think I can say the orange and tan colour combo is a good launch photo.

I'll await till I see it in person but I am not into the American truck grille look, never have been. But it looks 100% better than the Kluger. Interior looks ok, unfortunately the pics don't show much so until more come along I cannot comment.
The upper section looks very Jeep GC like.

A classy interior doesn't need buttons or chrome everywhere. It just needs cohesion between the various sections and materials used. Just look how VW bring a decent interior into their range, even the new Nissan Pathfinder has a decent interior.

i can kind of see where your coming from but personally i think its fine. Screen up top and the buttons placed in a easy to access area.

I hope they chuck this interior into the Ranger refresh. it will put the others in the segment to shame

Why compare this to the Kluger?

It's a Prado competitor... and judging by the looks, interior, and the 500+NM of torque it'll probably have it already craps all over the Prado.

Not a fan. Outside and inside it looks dated. Tacky silver trim on the bumpers and cheap 90s looking lower instrument panel. Not for me.

love the outside, looks tough, chunky and well proportioned. But the inside just looks functional. The upper section of the dash looks magic as does the speedo, but the black lower section looks a bit off. I also don't understand why they would use a cream interior for a Launch photo and pair it with an orange exterior. Not a good choice and as it is there is way too much cream in that cabin, no contrasts.

I'd give the exterior a 10/ 10, the inside, based on these pics, a 6/ 10. For me, looks are equally important as function, but that cream inside kills it for me.

Looks good. I like that they have kept basics such as the electronic diff lock from the ranger but there plenty of tech to keep the family happy. If this article is correct, then the Everest would seem like the new benchmark in this vehicle class given the safety, terrain control and other features like mykey that even the Prado Kakadu lacks. Then again, I'm assuming this is the Titanium class vehice spec. Even so it'll be worth a test drive...

Interior would look good if there were some contrasting colours. Lot of nice shapes and good layout, but with no colour contrast you can't see them. Light colours wouldn't be so good off-road either, so it wouldn't take long before it looks dirty.

I like the simplicity of the interior, but it desperately needs better contrast to like nice.

Engine responds very well to mods, but auto gearbox can become unsettled trying to cope with the extra torque. Good fuel economy overall: 9-12L/100km city, 8L/100 country.

I love my ranger but I hate the fact there is no where to mount switches for accessories and UHF, once again they have failed to accommodate this again. They need to target the people who are going to want to use these things as 4x4s not soccer mum dailies.

Fact is there are a lot more soccer mums to target than there are those who are going to want to use them as 4wds.

Ours will be made in Thailand on the same line as Ranger. China production is for domestic purposes only.

Love it, if I were in Australia and had the money, I'd likely buy that! Ford should over it with the 2.7 EcoBoost as an option.

I think it looks good. Its got that soft feel leather (style?) covering on the dash and the rest looks well organised. I'm not sure how you can say it was designed on a budget what do you base that on? There appears to be dual zone A/C for the second row seats as well. And whilst that may only be on the upper trim levels, at least you can get it.

I agree that it may not be the best colour, but I think with a black interior and a different exterior colour (maybe black again) this would look excellent.
