Default Stickies

Thought I should make a thread, as I wasn't sure if it is just me that finds the now 17 stickies in the pub to be a bit extreme. Maybe if there is a percentage of us that also have an urgue to 'tidy up' it could be thinned out a bit, as they appear on not just the front page of the pub but all subsequent pages too.

Anyone else feel the same?

Felt like I needed to get this off my chest for some odd reason!

If this is way too left field feel free to remove.

I absolutely agree.

Russ, how about all the 'All-New Ford....' threads and the 'Ford Announces...' type threads go somewhere else, or at least have a limited lifespan as a sticky.

What are we, Ford's marketing department? (they could do worse, hehehe, oh wait they do).

Yes, I value them them being placed on the forum but all these stickies do clutter up the pages.

IMHO stickies should be kept to an absolute minimum.

While I agree that there should be a limited number, the media release ones are rotated out after 30 days into their relevant subsections. That Ford decide to make multiple announcements related to the new Mondeo (9 of the current ones) and two are actually duplicates (which I will fix) and one is ready to be moved (which I have done now) still leaves it at 14.

I could probably move a couple to the announcements section but they are in the Pub as it is an area which is both publicly visible and high traffic.

Cheers
Russ

I agree and in all honesty i skip all the stickies and go straight to the first "non sticky" thread and go from there, I wouldn't have a clue what threads are stickies at the moment.

We should have just one sticky that says;
