Hey guys I have a weird issue going on with my car... when I turn the key to start the engine there is a few second delay before it starts cranking and sometimes it doesn't even crank... battery is fine, any ideas?

Push the key in harder or jiggle it around...does it start better?
Sounds like the key switch is going or dirty. |

i tried that already but made no difference....plus i can hear the relay clicking everytime i turn the key so it makes me lean more towards the starter itself having burnt brushes or sticky solenoid which is stoping it from working

Ignition switches can wear out, but rarely. If relay is clicking then ignition is good. More likely stuffed starter. |
