Default NSW fires caused Ash Rain....

yesterday here in the hunter valley, we had a bit of rain, which ussually isnt a bad thing, but yesterday the Ash from the fires arounds us was caught up in the rain.....
heres pics of my car...

gunna take a far bit to get it off as is stained the old white EA paint....

it like this all over!!....

hey swarv mine was the same i washed mine with a bug and tar remover cloth then with heavy duty armoural wash and a normal sponge and its mostly off gonna need a polish though
took some elbow grease.

and yes its a great excuse for a paint job.......

mine come up ok but you can still see the crap up close theres prob a cut and polish on the cards this weekend :(

nasty. makes you hopefully glad you keep the protection via polish and wax up. Should sue the &*$%stards who probably lit those fires.
I occasionally get similar from cane burnoffs. Can be a hassle to get off.

naa...we had a cruise, but it was only 6cylEA, me , an a couple of BA boys....

theres a few down in sydney or on the coast i think....

Found great way to clean guys, leave car dry and and get a bucket of car wash and then get a can of degreaser spray a bit then wash that bit and then wash it off with hose(P.S only do small sections at a time otherwise it will dry)then spray the car all again then give it a normal wash then hit it with a cut polish...I made the bosses car look new and it was filthy....

Might need about 3-4 cans I used 2 on a hilux single cab ute....

And how come the three hunter valley guys All own EA's?

cool....i was told the same by i guy at work, but he said use metho or kero in stead of degreaser.....

kero can be good. great for tar spots too. you just make sure you don't leave it on the paint for long and only use it when you need to.

Try using metho (or Isopropyl alcohol), rather than degreaser or kero.
Alot safer for the paint
