I am looking at putting a 2ltr cortina/sierra engine into my Mk1.
If you have done this or something similar before I would very much appreciate your advice. Did you strike any problems, how did you solve them? I am going to be running a 5 speed sierra box & one piece drive shaft. Also, I am going to bore the head, what pistons could I use to maximise depth and compression? I want the biggest I can possibly fit! I also want to keep this muscle - ie no turbo or fuel injection. Also, any suggestions on diffs? I am not too concerned about top end speed, but also dont want to blow a diff if I should feel like the odd skid. Since the drive shaft will be custom made the difference in flange shouldnt be a problem. Any suggestions gratefully welcomed!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Last edited by fordy19; 11-01-2007 at 09:13 PM.
