Hi all. I am in the process of fitting my new whiteline swaybars to my LTD. I have managed to change the front on without drama, but I am having some difficulty physically removing the rear due to its shape an limited room to remove it.
Has anyone done this before? I am guessing I will have to disassemble the IRS unit in some way to be able to get the old one out and the new one in. I am just not sure what is the best way to approach this. Does anyone have some tips? P.S. The front 30mm adjustable has made a massive difference - even on the softest setting.

You have to drop at least one of the rear half shafts out. Even then it requires a bit of juggling. If you take both out it is a piece of cake.

Cheers T3man. Being an AU and IRS newbie, are the half shafts much work? I have a Max Ellery workshop manual, but it does not say much apart from mentioning special tool number xxxxxxxx for the cv boot replacement.

You have to remove the wheel. Remove the strut. Remove the hub carrier. Then you can slip the shaft out of the diff.
